Knowing what I was in for and needing to get up early on a Saturday morning to catch the shadows on these gorgeous cars, even if it was a chilly 43 degrees, was definitely something I was motivated to do. I snagged a great parking place and then made quite a few rounds, admiring the owner’s passion for their babies. This is a yearly event they all look forward to. After they display their cars on the plaza they drive 100 miles in the high desert and then, at a venue that would look like an incredible magazine shoot, their cars are on display at Las Campanas. The tiny falling leaves were landing on the vehicles and many detailers were trying to keep them off while owners looked on. I heard a comment from one observer that a few cars were ‘over detailed’. Anyone know what that means? Can a car be too shiny? Too bright? Too perfect?
And, how could I not end with these babies in a shop window?
