My friend Patti and I happened to run in to this man, in Madrid, New Mexico. I had recognized him as one of the locals who frequently models at Santa Fe Workshops, in Santa Fe. His name is Don. And, apparently, not only is he a model but an accomplished actor. He has been in countless movies.
I was wondering, once I saw him with his wife, shopping in this funky town on the Turquoise Trail, how could I get his attention and let us photograph him. Well, it wasn’t a problem, as he came up to us and said, ‘Santa Fe Workshops?’ We were in the area, but not at our workshop yet, so we said ‘yes’ anyway.
What happened next was magical.
